Sweet Reaper to be sold at Hot Topic!

Apparently Hot Topic has ordered some buttons with this design of mine. I'm currently developing a whole line of these featuring adorable monsters, Japanese warriors, and a variety of deadly creatures.

More Holocene!

One of the Blue Cranes opening bands, who I also can't remember the name of. Anyone?

Update: Bright Red Paper!
Another example of blowing a potentially cool shot by not moving a couple of inches to the left to get the drummer's face in the shot. It's cool anyway, but it bugs me that I can't see the drummer's face.
A rather cool painterly version of the same shot. This is all done in-camera- it's just a slow shutter speed combined with cross-processing.
The bass player. I need to start writing down people's names.

Hear me play!

I just updated my lessons site to include a bunch of recordings of me playing the drums. Some people want to make sure you're really burning before they'll study with you. Anyway, checkem out. Enjoy.

See me play!

The Notables are playing Tony Starlight's Supper Club and Lounge this Wednesday and Friday. If you're in Portland, come on down and say hello. The club is at NE Sandy & 37th, in the old Blackbird building. Go to our site for more details.

Also coming soon are shows with my little group with Dan Duval, Willie Matheis, and, till the bastard decided to move to Shanghai, Willie Blair. We'll be playing at the Clinton St. brewpub (attached to the Clinton St. Theater) on the 20th. Red Venus Love Army, Casey's band with me playing drums, should be performing at this very happening hipster gallery right across (Ash? Oak?) the street from Andy & Bax on Mar. 2nd. Come see. More details later.

Holocene has cool lighting!

Here are a few more shots from the Blue Cranes' CD release.
I got several cool shots of this saxophonist. What the hell is his name?

Update: Joe Cunningham is the hell is name. A great player!
More fun with lights.

Willie Matheis!

I got my group The Notables together to do some promo shots, and got a few interesting ones of Willie.
I was considering using this picture in our materials and billing him as "Blind" Willie Mathious.
A slightly more cattish pic, like a Hank Mobley album cover.
