More travel photography. Not great pictures, but a very cool place where nobody ever goes. On our 2003 Italy trip several of us drove to Norchia, an Etruscan tomb site with some medieval ruins. In the middle of some very flat, boring farm country there is this little river gorge with a hill in the middle. C. 500 BC Etruscan tombs line the walls of the gorge, and the hill has the ruins of a medieval fortress and cathedral, and traces of the Etruscan acropolis.
